(These One A Days are added to each new day)
The young soldier was a deserter and Napoleon ordered that he be shot. His mother continued to plea for the life of her son, “Please have mercy on him,” she cried. “He doesn’t deserve mercy,” came back Napoleons reply. There was a moment of silence and the woman grew strangely quiet. Then in a voice that was hardly more than a whisper she looked into the eyes of the leader of her land and said, “If he deserved it, it would not be mercy.”
What God gives is a gift of mercy because we do not deserve it but He gives it anyway. How does the Psalmist put it, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:11)
Have you visited my “Life Is Not What It Is But What You Make It” site. Go to Google and where it says “Google Search” type in “Wyrick’s Writings”
Have you considered sharing this site with family or friends? Just have them go to Google Search and type in “Neil Spiritual Vitamins”.
And, yes, maybe they will back track a few weeks to read other of my musings.
