A DRUDGE

A DRUDGE!

Paderewski was one of the greatest pianists who ever walked God’s green earth. One day, after he had played before Queen Victoria in England she was for a time absolutely speechless. When finally she could speak the only thing she could think to say was, “You are a genius.” His reply was priceless, “Before I was a genius, I was a drudge.”

All the geniuses of the world, all the saints of the world, all of those who stand tall and sun crowned above the crowd had to first fumble and stumble on their way to being exceptional.

Would you improve so much in this next year that your improvement might be called the work of a genius? Then, first be willing to pay the price of drudgery before you reap the reward of an exceptional life.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)
