Once upon a time, eternity came to call. It was certainly no heavenly afterthought.

If you are God you don’t send your Son down to earth without considerable consideration. Short, sweet and to the point, it was a planned event and had been for quite sometime.

Nor did it just suddenly happen with everyone unaware.

Centuries before, a prophet named Malachai spoke the words, “Behold, He is coming.” Malachi repeated this message from God like any good prophet is supposed to do. And he kept on prophesying that one day God’s beloved and only begotten Son would show up on earth.

A once in a lifetime experience. Not a Santa moment. Rather a Savior Special.

And so to those who knew the prophecy, the birth of Christ was just a follow-through from eternity.

An on-the-site announcement by angels. A mystic star overwhelming the Judean sky.

This newly born Jesus would sweep away the fear of death. This little child, now sleeping so close to His mothers cheek, would become Master and be followed by countless millions yet unborn.

And since it was all wrapped up in the timelessness of God all kind of future events would be affected.

And, if we would but pay more attention to the message from the Prince of Peace what a difference it would make in our lives and in world events.
