It is a true story – there are many like it. Not long ago he was a punk and he hated his parole officer. A parole officer who spoke fluent Christmas. Without being asked, the young hood volunteered how he felt about this officer of the law. “He’s an old fool. Always talking about love and me changing my way of life…and some odd ball named Jesus. No way Jose. No way.”

But the old fool, God’s fool, the odd ball parole officer was kind to the young man. Met impatience with patience - just kept speaking Christmas - just wouldn’t stop. And when you hear a language often enough you begin to understand it.

And so he beat down the young man’s anger with love. And one day the young delinquent became bilingual, too, and today he speaks fluent Christmas.
