DON'T PUT OFF UNTIL TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN PUT OFF UNTIL THE DAY AFTER

One early morn a new army recruit had slept right through the bugle call so that when his drill sergeant found him, he was still fast asleep.

“Soldier! It’s 4:30 A.M.! What do you think you are doing? Rise and shine!”

“4:30?” moaned the half awake soldier, “Sergeant, you’d better go back to bed. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow.”

Is that how you face the promises you have made for we all have made and make them. Thinking something like, “Lord, not right now, it’s too soon. But tomorrow, Lord, we have a big day ahead of us.”

It is so easy to earn a spiritual Ph.D. in procrastination. Saving the biggest and best prayers for some unknown tomorrow when you are actually going to take this whole faith thing more seriously.

Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37: 5)
