ARE YOU BILINGUAL? DO YOU SPEAK CHRISTMAS?

When your memories speak to you in this Holy Season what do they tell you of Christmas’ past? Jolly old St. Nick on the mantle piece? Stockings hung with care? The Nutcracker Suite in the background? A tree sparkling with lights above a manger scene passed down from one generation to the next?

Or, do you remember family members all tired and short tempered? Frazzled from trying to do too much, having spent too much? Not bilingual. Not speaking Christmas at all. And it doesn’t really make any difference whether or not you speak English or Spanish or Portuguese in your household, but it does make a great deal of difference if you don’t speak Christmas.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us…(John 1:14)
