One day a visitor walked into a town.
“Is this a healthy town?”
“It sure is,” replied the man to whom the question had been put, “when I came here, I hadn’t the strength to utter a word; I had scarcely a hair on my head; I couldn’t walk across the room even with assistance; I had to be lifted in and out of bed.”
“That’s wonderful,” exclaimed the visitor, gazing at the healthy specimen of manhood that stood before him.
“How long have you been here?”
“I was born here,” came back the reply.
It is a term you know and have heard many times…”to be born again”…and the result of this kind of birth is as miraculous as the first birth and what comes afterwards.
“Jesus answered and said to him (Nicodemus) , "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he?"
Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
