A PLACE CALLED FOREVER

One day when i was a little boy, I watched a coal black beetle crawl over a nearby rock.

In the heat of the day it soon began to dry up and die.

Then a strange and wonderful thing started to happen. As i gazed with awe, it split all the way down its back. And out came an ugly mass that quickly began to change into something bright and bbeautiful.

Slowly a living rainbow unfolded before my eyes.

A miracle.

The transformation of a hideous bettle into an exquisite dragonfy. Then, with its brillaint wings spread wide, it began to flit al about. All the while, the body it had left behind, lay withering in the sun.

I did not think it then, I was too young to make such a comarison, but that is what death is. The burying of a body but not the buryng of a life.

The burying of a remnant, but not the burying of a soul.

Life is a trip on the way to a destination, really. Mortality on the way to immortality. Earthly doors opening and closing and opening and closing until one day a heavenly gate opens and we enter into a place called forever.
