Captain John Callendar would never have believed it could be said of him but it was.
He was found, in this Revolutionary War, guilty of cowardice at Bunker Hill.

After he was court marshaled, General George Washington discharged him.
It was over…there was nowhere to visit…except disgrace.

But he was a man who knew that if a road chosen was the wrong road could and would change to another road.

And this was what John Callendar did for he was a man made of sterner stuff.

He reenlisted as a lowly private.

Then at the battle of Long Island he displayed such magnificent courage …George Washington restored his rank of Captain.

It is never too late to change. To change moldy moments into magnificent moments…to learn from the past and bring luster to the present.

I love the way Bruce Barton put it, “When you are through changing, you are through.”

QUOTES FROM TOMORROWS BLOG entitled MAKING SOMETHING ABOUT OF NOTHING

“Pieces of obscure bottles and a host of other broken objects.
And some saw broken pieces of glass as worthless and threw them away.
And one man saw broken pieces of glass as priceless…and
made a monument to human creativity and the desire to find beauty where it was most unlikely to be found.”
