A man was frustrated and lost. Fact is he was beginning to think he would never arrive at the Farmer’s house.

And then he saw a young man approaching on a tractor.

Stopping him, he asked, “How much further is it to Farmer Brown’s house.”

“Well now,” replied the young man, “In the direction you are going it is over 25,000 miles but if you’ll turn around and make a right turn it’s about one half a mile."

It’s amazing how far we can go in the wrong direction before we get and take some good advice in going in the right direction.

And sometimes, particularly the male species, who not ask directions at all.

And…yes…it’s bad enough when it is a geographical location we are seeking…but when it is a spiritual destination and we ignore and do not seek out advice…and the Lord’s word is there and the eternal need is there…we have made a serious error.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
