Below is YOUR ONE A DAY (Note from Neil) & "A ONE LINER FOR YOUR SOUL"

Take this seed of a thought below and turn it into a wisdom tree.

IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE WHO IS YOUR KING

“Goodbye heaven.  I’m on my way down to earth.”  It could have been what Jesus said.  It certainly was what He did.  Courtesy of a loving, eternal father, the highways and byways of man were never the same again.

At the same time, a sixty-year-old Caesar Augustus ruled the vast Roman Empire. His time in office was not limited by terms or democracy.  He snapped his fingers and everyone jumped.  But then came about that over which he had no control.

It was heaven’s moment to make an ancient prophecy come true.

Over seven hundred years before Christ was born, the prophet Isaiah had written, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

The ways of God are strange and wonderful to behold.

This wasn’t in a sermon but in an article in  TIME magazine as to what makes us happy rather than unhappy.

And what do you know!

It listed all the things
Christ told us that we should do; love our neighbors, let go of anger and learn to forgive, practice acts of kindness, etc.

Of course, the magazine didn’t mention The Sermon on the Mount or the 13th chapter of First Corinthians – got to be politically correct. They simply called the article, Eight Steps toward A More Satisfying Life.

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
-Matthew 7:24-27
