              With November drawing closer and the accompanying political opinions... the season for name calling increases by leaps and bounds.

      And so I got to thinking... if you speak or write of an individual who disagrees with you as "stupid" or "worse names even than that" is it possible you are also "stupid" or "worse names even that that" because you disagree with them?

      Is it possible that two people reaching differing opinion from the same set of facts are being equably reasonable and unreasonable.   

      I know in the last 50 years my political leanings have changed.  I will not name whether you can call me a Centrist, a Republican or Democrat because if I did it would simply mean that I would then be denigrated by a different collection of people...who promptly saw me as "stupid" or "worse names even that."

      And therein lies our problem, as old as time and as unfortunately sure to continue.

      In short...cool it...respect that other person and their opinion...cease to grow quite so angry at he or she who is disagreeing with you on a political, or personal or church issue. 

      Love them, not necessarily their ideas, as much as you want them to respect you. 

      The lunatic fringe is always with us.  Ah now, which lunatic fringe am I talking about...
