Paderewski once said, that if he stopped practicing the piano for one day, he noticed the difference. If he stopped for two days his family noticed the difference. If he stopped for three days his friends noticed the difference. If he stopped for a week his public noticed the difference.
Religion is like that and if you do not
sow you cannot reap.
A famous novelist once said of one of his characters, he is not
so much a human being as he is a civil war." And so many folk having spent
their lives sowing discord, and hate, and misunderstanding, and doubt, and a
host of other wrongs suddenly one day find they cannot stand themselves and are
indeed a "civil war. II When there is war on earth it
takes a treaty of peace to end it. When there is a war in the human soul it
takes the presence of Almighty God to heal the breach.
Indeed it may be said, sow a faith to reap a father.
And you know and I know that everyman needs God as Father.
So yes...as some signs used to read in the old
not so well road constructed days "Be careful which rut you chose...you'll
be in it for the next 25 miles."
