A man named William Lloyd Garrison looked at slavery and grew ill.
“There’s nothing you can do about it,” he was told. But this man with hopes and
dreams sold all he had to buy paper and ink to publish a paper called The
Liberator.
Once, he was dragged through the streets of Boston on a halter. His friends deserted him. It would seem He was fighting a lost cause.
But today, in Boston, as a reminder of the slavery he helped to abolish, there stands his statue and on this monument his words of undying commitment to a cause: My country is the world, my countrymen are mankind. I am in earnest; I will not equivocate, I will not excuse. I will not retreat a single step, and I will be heard.
Know this, your prayers are no better than your hopes; your deeds no better than your dreams. And they must all be guided by God, otherwise you may hope the wrong hopes and dream the wrong dreams. Part of a poem from the Sanscrit reads "...today well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope."

LESSEN ANXIETY
It's an old joke, I went to the doctor and I
said, “Doc, when I do this, it hurts.” And the doctor said, “Then don't do
that.”
How many things have you been anxious
about that were things which you knew before you got into them were probably
going to create some problems for you?
And if you asked your doctor, or your minister, or common sense and your
God, all of them would have said, “Don’t to that.”
