What will God ask?

In that future time of questions perhaps he will inquire not what you have destroyed but what you have built, not what you have condemned but what you have blessed, not where you have planted seeds of discord by faultfinding but where you have cultivated a bountiful harvest of improvement.

Perhaps he will ask, How often did you love?

How often did you contain your anger as against letting it roam destructively wherever it wished? How often did you forgive?

How often did you promote unity and make the angels sing?

What will God ask?

I, too, must wait to find out, how the hand and heart of our loving God will bring to happen the wonderful promises he has given…but while we live, it does justice to time and eternity to ask the questions and at the same time look for honest answers rather than withering excuses.

For his commandments are such a guidedance and our living can be such a worship.

A quote below from Neil's ONE A DAY blog entitled IF THIS BE MADNESS

“Christianity is really only two things; it is either a challenge or a bribe.

Take it as a bribe, you say “Alright, what can I get out of it? What’s in for me?” Approach it as a challenge and you say, “What can I give? What must I become? Wordsworth wrote “We live by admiration.”

Start by trying to admire God and one does not have to worry about spiritual inertia.”
