There was a little girl and she had always been told that she came from God.
When she was 4 years old God sent her a baby brother and she became inordinately interested.
It was obvious that she loved the baby and so her parents wondered when she asked if she could be left alone with him.
They worried that like most 4 years olds she might not be aware of how fragile a baby can be if a 4 four year old with mistaken love begins to shake him or because of jealousy does even worse. So they declined.
But the little girl would not desist. Finally, since it was obvious by how she treated her little brother that she loved him a great deal they relented and granted her wish.
With a smile large enough to take over her face the little girl went into the room and closed the door…but it opened a crack…enough for her parents to look through the tiny opening and observe.
They watched her carefully approach her brother, bend down with her face close to his and murmur, “Baby brother, tell me what God feels like. I’m starting to forget.”
"Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, "'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'?" Matthew 21:16
